Our campsite is located 20 km south of Les Sables d'Olonne in the Vendée.
It is the starting town for the Vendée Globe, the solo sailing race around the world which takes place every 4 years.
This seaside resort is famous for its large beach; during your stay at the Pomme de Pin campsite, take the time to stroll along the Sables embankment, and in the evening there is plenty of entertainment, bars and restaurants on the beach and harbour sides.
There are plenty of places to visit: the Arundel tower protecting the entrance to the port, the village of La Chaume with its fishermen's houses, Fort St Nicolas, Ste Croix abbey and the Île Penotte district with its houses decorated with shells.
Les Sables d'Olonne is the largest seaside resort in the Vendée, so you'll find all the activities offered by the major towns with a nautical and tourist vocation: nautical competitions, concerts, conferences, festivals, shows, theatre, cinema, casinos, horse racing, night-time entertainment, markets......
The coastline surrounding Les Sables d'Olonne is magnificent and will invite you to take many walks or bike.
From our La Pomme de Pin campsite you can get there by a regular coach service provided by the company Sovetour.
This is the nearest large town where you will find numerous shops as you stroll through its charming pedestrian streets, just 20 minutes from the campsite.
