Poitevin marshes

The Marais Poitevin is a unique site in Europe, also known for the part of its wet marshes known as the Venise verte.

Since 2010, this tourist site has been awarded the "Grand Site de France" label. It is bordered by the towns of Luçon, Fontenay Le Comte, La Faute sur Mer, Longeville sur Mer, La Rochelle and Niort.

The area boasts a rich and diverse fauna. The vegetation is highly specific, with aquatic plants, duckweed and marsh trees creating a unique atmosphere.

It's the perfect place for walking, cycling and boating.

The Marais Poitevin is a peaceful place to relax. Each little village in this corner of paradise is a picturesque site that has inspired many painters and whose paintings can be found in various museums in France and abroad.

Our campsite close to the Marais Poitevin is an ideal starting point for discovering this magical place; the nearest pier for navigating these canals is in Longeville sur Mer 7 minutes from our camping.

The inhabitants of these communes are very vigilant about safeguarding their man-made heritage. We urge you to take the time to stop and enjoy this enchanting place, which invites you to dream and relax. It's a completely different atmosphere from that of our Vendée beaches: the wonderful diversity of landscapes that you'll find on the doorstep of our campsite attracts more and more tourists to our region every year.

We invite you to stay at our 4-star campsite and discover the Marais Poitevin. During your stay, we will show you the places not to be missed.
