You can reach the Île d'Yeu by boat from the Fromentine pier or from Saint Gilles Croix de vie in season.
It takes around 45 minutes from Fromentine and 1 hour and 10 minutes from Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.
NOIRMOUTIER
Since 1971, the Île de Noirmoutier has been linked by a bridge, but that doesn't take away its charm. And if the tides allow, take the Gois Passage to reach the Île de Noirmoutier. This passage is an attraction in itself, as this submersible causeway allows you to reach the island when the tide is out. Thrills guaranteed!
The island of Noirmoutier is nicknamed the Island of Mimosas in reference to its mild climate, which allows the mimosas to grow and flower in winter. In Noirmoutier you'll discover a variety of landscapes: salt marshes, fine sandy beaches, holm oak forests...
