Talmont St Hilaire is a very old town, as evidenced by the ruins of its castle dating from the 11th and 12th centuries. In addition to the castle, which receives many visitors throughout the year, there is a remarkable listed site, the Payré estuary. Through the Natura 2000 programme, Europe is working to preserve and manage this exceptional site.

With the port of Bourgenay, a 600-berth port in Talmont st Hilaire, numerous water sports activities are available: boat hire, sea scooters, introduction to sea fishing, scuba diving, etc.
For golf lovers near the port of Bourgenay, a golf course is just 7 minutes from our campsite. The golf course is on the seafront and has 18 holes, a pitch and putt area and a driving range.
On Talmont, there is also a riding school: le Prédanseur which is open all year round from Monday to Saturday. This riding centre has the Ecole Française label. You will be welcomed by Stéphanie Crommer (state-qualified instructor and international rider). For all levels.

From our campsite towards Talmont St Hilaire, there are numerous cycle paths: towards the port of La Guittière (an oyster-farming port located at the bottom of the Veillon lagoon), you can taste the famous La Guittière oysters and discover the extraordinary fauna and flora of the large natural complex of Le Payré (a large listed remarkable site).
