This summer, we decided to go on holiday to the Vendée, but we wanted to choose a campsite near Talmont Saint Hilaire. The town is a popular seaside resort because of its proximity to Jard sur Mer and Les Sables d'Olonne.
It has many attractions, and anyone who stops here, whether for a weekend, a week or more, is bound to enjoy their stay.

Here's the story of one of our best days ...
This morning, after taking the time to get together over breakfast on the chalet terraceWe headed for the town centre. Above all, we wanted to discover the historic centre and the Château de Talmont, where Richard the Lionheart lived. And to make matters worse, festivities are organised throughout the year. So we were transported back to the Middle Ages and thrilled to the sound of the equestrian shows.
After a stroll through the streets of the town centre, we headed for the magnificent sandy beach of Le Veillon. We had a fabulous time as a family. Our best memories: the sandcastles we all built together, as well as jumping into the waves with the youngest, our teenager trying his hand at surfing, flying the kite... not forgetting the quiet moments simply lying on the sand enjoying the sunshine with the sound of the waves in the background.
Once you've had your fill of idyllic moments on the beach at Talmont Saint Hilaire, it's back to the campsite to enjoy the night to the full. activities and the entertainment provided by the great team at Camping la Pomme de Pin.
