Once upon a time, a family went exploring les Sables d'Olonne by renting a mobile home in a campsite close to the beach. And that family is us, as you can imagine! This story is a fairy tale because all the protagonists lived happily ever after, or at least until the end of the holidays.
I had to introduce them to Les Sables d'Olonne.
And yes, Les Sables d'Olonne is quite a story! I've loved this seaside resort ever since I was a little girl. I have wonderful memories of holidays spent with my grandparents. The freedom of being able to stroll along the embankment, gazing out over the ocean, and grabbing a homemade ice cream or a chichis cone along the way. So, of course, I wanted my children to discover the city. Now that they're old enough to try out new things and ride their bikes on the cycle paths, a whole new world opened up to us. I made them appreciate all the treasures that lie behind the town of the Vendée Globe. The Ile Penotte district, the village of La Chaume, Fort St Nicolas, the Arundel Tower, the festivals, the markets, the nightlife and of course the great beach... in short, it was a real eye-opener!

But to be able to relax after such walks, we were happy to settle down in our comfortable, quality mobile home. So I chose la Pomme de Pin campsite for our stopping-off point. This campsite is located not far from Les Sables d'Olonne and is a 4-star campsite where we had everything we needed to relax and have fun. Starting with a aquatic area for all the family, as well as a kids' club and daytime and evening entertainment.

But I have to admit that opting for a mobile home in this campsite near Les Sables d'Olonne wasn't enough, it also had to be near beach. Knowing that we didn't have to take the car to get to the fine sand was something we really wanted. We had a wonderful holiday at the Pomme de Pin campsite and it went by so quickly. And as it was unanimously approved, I can even tell you that we're planning to go back! Can't wait!!!
